For all of you who are curious how U.S Nationals turned out, heres the scoop. This year was a battle just like in years past however this year was very exciting due to the battle on the jump hill. Everyone jumped well putting the pressure on the cross country. We had 5 guys with very good chances at the podium going into the cross country. A tough fight was put up by everyone throughout the race. I went out hard hoping to catch veteran Todd Lodwick. Although I was not able to catch todd I gave it a solid effort the first two laps. Going into the third lap I was dead with a heart-rate of 211 I had nothing left. From then on I was out for for 4th place. Since I had gone out with bang I was left vulnerable on the last lap. So I was fight from then for fourth place with Eric Camerota. Eric started 40 seconds ahead of me making it very challenging once I caught him to be able to sprint him out. Eric was able to make a move on me on the last hill, I gave to the pain in my legs and brought it home for a fifth place. Not my best result however considering the task at hand it was not a bad result as well. This years nationals was a great comp. The jumping was some of the fairest comps in years, the weather was great the entire weekend.
