Well it's official Summer Grand Prix is two comps away from wrapping up. We are here in Oberstdorf, Germany gearing up for competitions tonight and tomorrow. So far for myself it has been a mixed batch of results. I started of the Grand Prix series with an excellent 8th place result. This ties my previous best result on WC. My goal for the last two comps is to finish up with two top 20 results. This is entirely achievable for me and should be my average. I have been disappointed with my last two results in the Grand Prix. Although I had tough conditions I don't want to use that as an excuse to my performance. Because of this I am looking to make up for it in these next two competitions.
Looking past SGP we will be heading home on Sunday and enjoying a small amount of time at home before heading to Chicago, Illinois for U.S. Nordic Combined Nationals. After Chicago we will be doing a training camp in Lake Placid, NY. It's hard to believe but our season is fast approaching. In fact I believe we are somewhere around 9 weeks to go before our first snow comps. That means it's time to kick the training into overdrive.
I am looking forward to some quality training this fall in Steamboat, Park City, and Lake Placid. Be sure to follow mine and the teams results from SG
