This spring was full of unpredictable weather, I managed to make the best of it however. Since the winter refused to end I got multiple days of touring in the back country in deep powder. This was a great break mentally and physically. I was able to get my minutes I needed while having some fun on the side. We had a couple sunny days during which I was able to get out on the bike, having fun in the sun.
We are back to a full load of training and I have been busy getting it done. Monday I was out early in the am for a 3 hour skin in the back country, followed up by a 2 hour bike ride. Days like that are nothing short of spectacular. In addition to my normal training this summer I have decided to do more bike racing. I hooked up with the Colesport guys and will be racing for their team this summer. So naturally I am hoping for sunny weather so I can spend as much time on my bike as possible. Yesterday was my first race of the season although it was a short race it was very fun. I plan to frequently ride in the Rocky Mountain Raceway Criterium Series this summer. In addition to the RMR races I will be doing some stage races as well as day long road races.
So look for me out on the road and trails this summer. I will continually update the website throughout the summer as much as possible. I should have a lot of news to share it looks like it will be a busy summer!
