Jumping Farther, Skiing Faster
Today was a tough day. I had some great moments and some disappointing moments which show I still have a lot to learn. I was able to jump great and landed my self in the top 10. I was 9th place after the jumping 55 seconds back from the lead. I felt great starting the race which is probably why when I broke a pole I panicked and tried to stay with the group with one pole. I wore my self out skiing like that for a little less then a kilometer. When I got a pole I was beat. However I can take away some good things from today. For example my jumping was on and I know I can do that again without question. Also this whole week I have not felt awesome in my cross country training however to feel like I did throughout the race makes me confident that I don't need to feel awesome to be competitive. I don't have to be feeling perfect to be in the top 10.
So onward I am looking towards Seefeld. Tomorrow is a team event here in Shonach which will be fun and relaxing. Lets see what our young team can do here. Afterwards we will head to seefeld and have two more individual competitions and I will be looking to redeem my self from the bad luck today.
