Jumping Farther, Skiing Faster
As many of you probably have deducted our team has spent the last 10 days in both Kranj, SLO and Predazzo, IT. Our main focus was jumping and we have done exactly that. Our trip started in Kranj were we tested some new equipment and got our jumping legs underneath us. After Kranj we drove to Predazzo were we mixed it up a bit with some XC training as well. We had a time trial on Alp Cermis which is a brutal climb. The TT course is only 3.5 kilometers but is steep enough to take close to 20 minutes!
Our main purpose here is to gain a little extra training on the hills here with World Champs coming up and all. After Predazzo we will spend a day or two in Stams, AUS. I have not jumped there since the very first summer I was named to the U.S. Ski Team. So definitely will be a trip down memory lane for this guy. None the less I am excited to visit this hill again since it has been so long.
Tuesday we travel home and will spend the next couple weeks in Park City, UT mixing it up with all types of training before returning to Europe again in October. Then the Mayhem begins!
Looking forward to the season starting on Nov. 24th in Lillehammer, NO.
Till next time!
