Jumping Farther, Skiing Faster
The last two weeks we have been very busy with training and recovery. This week we are getting ready to head off to Norway and Finland for the first comps of the year. Last week we did a bunch of intensity at the beginning of the week followed by a few days off towards the end of the week. This week is all about speed. We will be putting some speed into our legs, by doing intervals on the treadmill. This is important because our first races will be a low elevation making the paces of the races higher. We have a giant treadmill at the Center of Excellence we use to push our selves on which makes it very easy to ramp up the speed without pushing ourselves out of our zones.
Next week we head of to Lillehammer, Norway for a couple days of training before we head up to Kuusamo, Finland for the season openers. After Kuusamo we will head back to Lillehammer for the second week of competition. The entire team is excited to get the season under way. So wish us luck and check back soon for more updates!
