Nordic Combined Athlete
Jumping Farther, Skiing Faster
June is typically one of my favorite months of the year. Not because it's my birthday month. But usually the weather is very nice and it makes for easy training. I hope that is the case this June! In the last two weeks I have been busy busy. I moved into a new house, completed a ton of training, visited Wisconsin, Georgia, and Florida, I watched my cousin say good bye to the single life, and got to see my dad's side of the family for the first time in a long time. Although the last two weeks were busy as can be, I had a blast.
As June rolls its time to buckle down. The next couple weeks are going to be some of the most challenging of the summer. We start jumping next week in Steamboat! I cannot wait to come home for a couple days and throw some jumps off the small hill there. When we get back from steamboat we have a huge week of training. Almost 25 hours of endurance. We will also be jumping and lifting during that time. I am exited to get things going full blast here.
In addition to training I am keeping myself busy. I am still raising money to fight cancer, working at the Red Banjo, and I have taken up a new job with Earthwell. I am enjoying the challenges of this job but also very excited to be apart of something cool and in which I believe in.
While I was in Wisconsin I was awarded the Nordic Combined Athlete of the Year. I was honored that the coaches and staff thought I was worthy of this years award. I know this is just the beginning though. I am on a mission to make some big steps up over the next few years. I feel like I have the best support staff around to help make this happen.
Alright thats all I have today! Stay Tuned!
