Nordic Combined Athlete
Jumping Farther, Skiing Faster
We have hit training full swing this week. Complete with jumping, plyos, and endurance. Each day I have put in some big hours of training, followed by work in the evening. I could definitely feel the week of training at the end of the day today. This weekend will be one jump session, and a combined six hours of endurance between Saturday and Sunday. Next week we will be hitting the roads and trails even harder, putting another 4 hours of endurance on top of what we did this week. Next weekend I plan on riding in the High Uintas Classic stage race. Last year our team had quite the battle with weather conditions during the race. The race itself is about 80 miles long with about 30 miles of climbing to the top of Mirror Lake Highway. After the climb there is a good descent and a windy flat left to finish. High Uintas will be a tough end to a hard week! I look forward to getting it done! See you out there!
